Get Fit Fridays

After being a ridiculously lazy little thing for the past few months, I have decided that now the sun has started shining again, I need to shine too..

My gym membership is (thankfully) still running after months of slacking, so today is the start of my Get Fit Friday posts. Every Friday I will write a post about fitness and healthy living. It could be a healthy recipe, a gym routine or an example food diary for the day! I'll keep you posted on my favourite protein shakes and health foods. Find out how I pack vitamins and healthy choices into my diet.

Stickygram: Bringing your instagrams to life

I can confess I am now an Instagram addict. I take photos of my dinner, my drink at Starbucks, my panda socks next to a bowl of freshly sliced blood oranges...

Social media has gone crazy and the opportunities online are endless; on Instagram you can gain hundreds of dedicated followers and become a follower and watch someones life unfold in a random series of square, filtered photos. But what most of us don't always realise is that out own Instagram accounts are like a photographic diary, miniature snapshots of our life and the events unfolding around us. A photo of a pair of shoes in the mud at the festival might be the one that brings back the most hilarious memories years after; only these photos are stored online, not in a frame where you can see it everyday and relive the experiences. So, I was looking into bringing my some of my own Instagram photographs into life.

This is when I stumbled across a website called Stickygram. These are the guys who bring your memories to life in the form of super cute sheets of magnets, ipad cases and a whole range of phone cases. You choose the Instagram photos you want to be featured and these guys make the magic happen..

The Stickygram website is easy to navigate and once you choose your product, it is super easy to add the photos or choose the layout; the website actually links with Instagram so no more fussy uploading of photos from your computer. This company offers free delivery worldwide which is also brilliant.
I simply linked my Instagram account and got creative; I picked the most memorable photos and the most delicious looking foodie shots I had taken over the last year or so. I've created an iphone 4 case and two sets of magnets to stick all over my fridge!

The iphone 4 case from Stickygram is very lightweight and almost soft to the touch. The photo quality is good, it's bright and colourful and I like the wrap around style of the photos; nothing worse than a case with a great picture on the back but plain sides. It fits extremely well over the phone and gives easy access to all of the buttons.

The magnets are lovely too; you peel them apart into individual magnets or I guess you could just slap the whole sheet  onto the fridge! They are made from a bendy material and feel quite soft. I think these are a brilliant gift for friends or a loved one, brilliant value for a customised item and I would recommend the cases and magnets as it is a nice change to have such a personal item designed by yourself.

Like I stated, apps like Instagram make it easy to upload hundreds of photos, as random as you like but with so many little snapshots of your life that will bring back memories in years to come, it's very nice to be able to print these or create something physical which you can keep in sight and bring a smile to your face or a friends.

Stickygram is going to be holding a 25% off sale from the 16th February until the end of this month, so now is your chance to get some of these super cute items created; or treat a friend to a really personal and thoughtful gift this month! It's not long since Valentines day after all! Click here to check out their website.

Thank you for reading and don't forget to like and comment below! Let me know what creations you guys make on Stickygram.

Happy Valentines Day for yesterday!

My top 5 most used winter haircare products

1. Toni and Guy Creative Hold Hairspray.
I have been using this hairspray well into the last year and maybe even beyond. Toni and guy never fail to impress me when it comes to hairsprays; this one has a flexible hold and doesn't leave your hair too sticky. The scent is probably the best I have ever found in a hairspray and good smelling hair is always a plus! It is fairly easy to brush out but I wouldn't suggest using copious amounts and expecting it to brush out without a little pulling. All in all probably my favourite hairspray yet.

2. Loreal Paris #TXT volumising spray.
My hair at the moment is on the boring and fairly flat side of things and so anything which can give it a bit of a boost for nights out or updos appeals to me. I have seen many adverts for this particular brand and I am a fan of the Loreal Paris brand already. This is another spray which smells pretty damn delicious! I have used it on several occasions now, for different styles and although it does give hair a boost, I wouldn't compared it to the hold of backcombing it yourself. I like this product but the main con I have found is that my hair felt dirty and almost greasy by the end of the day after using it. Maybe I used too much, but I am not sure whether I would purchase this again.

3. Lee Stafford Nourishing Miracle Oil.
Argan oil is huge in the hair and beauty industry at the moment and I was lucky enough to grab this product in a goody bag at the Company Magazine Christmas Party. I have used Lee Staffords products in the past but this hair oil has changed warmed me to the brand even more. I have used the Argan oil conditioner from Lee Stafford and did find it made my hair feel a little "over moisturised" and sticky. This oil however is a saviour for rubbing onto the ends of hair after a good wash and brushing through gently. You can also use it on dry hair to smooth flyaways. All in all I do think it lives up to the claims. My hair certainly seems to enjoy this treat a few times a week!

4. NAKED Sunflower and Cinnamon Protecting Shampoo
My hair has been pretty badly beaten up in the last five years of so from colouring experiments, bleaching and copious backcombing through my teenage years. These days I try to look after it as well as I can and stumbled across this range in Boots. I also purchased the matching conditioner and they are both aimed for people with chemically treated hair. I love the smell of cinnamon and so this shampoo smells gorgeous to me. It does take longer to lather up compared to other brands but as they claim to be 97% natural and against animal testing I am more than happy to put a bit more work into it. This range does leave your hair shiny and soft and almost tangle free. I will definitely purchase again and maybe try one of their other shampoos.

5. Tangle Teezer
I actually purchased this brush over a year ago now and would never look back. I got a purple, glittery Tangle Teezer in my local Boots when I was wearing extensions and wanted something gentle yet effective at detangling. This is probably one of my all time hair care products and I would definitely recommend this to anybody with hair longer than shoulder length, I have even used it when I was sporting a bob, so it really lives up to the hype. Whilst working in a salon and spa in Chelsea in the past, all of the stylists swore by this brush and I don't blame them!

Birthday Sunday shopping at Harrods

Last Sunday me and the other half decided to take a trip into london; he had never been to Harrods and so I thought my birthday was a perfect excuse for some luxury window shopping..

^ this one for Easter please?

Harrods is huge and has an amazing range of luxury food, homeware and of course clothing.. Make up, perfumes and Swarovski encrusted bath tubs. What more can a girl want on a sunny Sunday?
^ delicious blood oranges in one of the amazing food courts.

First stop was the La duree cafè. This cutesy, pastel palace is on the ground floor hidden away and we could only locate it with a handy Harrods map! They have an amazing selection of cakes and of course macarons! We got a small selection box to enjoy later on.

The next gorgeous and luxurious place to grab a drink or something to eat is Harrods own Godiva chocolate bar; this place is literally a chocoholics heaven. Taps of melted chocolate and the most amazing chocolate cakes you'll see.. And taste. We decided to share a chocolixir milkshake.. A milk chocolate shake with grated Godiva chocolate, topped with whipped cream. The smell alone is delicious. Probably the best milkshake I have ever tasted!

After a couple of hours browsing Jo Malones to die for candles and scents, drooling over Bobbi brown bludgers, last but not least, by chance we wandered past the Michael kors bags downstairs.. I'm afraid I couldn't resist treating myself to this absolute BEAUTY..
The best birthday gifts are
the ones you get to choose ;)
